The Bioheart 3370® Home Heart Failure Monitor is an interactive and simple to use device, designed specifically to improve the way of providing healthcare to patients outside hospitals suffering from chronic diseases. Bioheart’s Heart Failure Monitoring System engages patients through personalized daily interactions and questions, while collecting vital signs and transmitting the information directly into a database. The data are regularly monitored by a group of remotely located medical professionals. The group is charged with responsibility for watching for any abnormal readings that may signal a change in the patient’s health status. Any change that indicates a problem is reported immediately back to the patient’s treating physician or nurse. The data are also available for review on the internet.
The monitoring system collects patient data every day from a range of devices such as weight scales and blood pressure cuffs. Patients also use the system daily to answer a set of questions related to their general well being and their ability to perform routine daily tasks. The questions were developed by cardiologists and are geared to detect abnormalities. Regular data input and monitoring of heart failure patients enables the health care team to detect signs and symptoms of changes in patient status as they occur, leading to reduced hospitalizations, reduced costs and better patient outcomes.

The Bioheart 3370® Health Monitor is a wireless gateway, which serves as the central device for seamless and secure collection of data from chronically ill patients. The Bioheart 3370® Health Monitor collects data from a range of standard external vital sign monitoring devices such as weight scales and blood pressure monitors and transmits the data to a HTTPs server on the Internet.
Patient Home Use
The Bioheart 3370® Health Monitor is designed for home use by the patient and contains a number of unique features that make the device state-of-the-art for system integrators working in the area of home monitoring, e-health and remote disease management.
Home heart failure monitoring offers benefits to both the patients and the healthcare providers. Because patients are monitored on a daily basis, medical irregularities can be identified before they become urgent problems, allowing early detection and intervention, and decreasing costly hospital admissions. All data collected is available and can be easily exported for review and publication. The cost savings from the prevention of readmission is significant.
